Position Summary

The Chief Financial Steward (CFS) is responsible for the overall financial planning/success of the organization and helps drive the Company’s mission, vision, values. The CFS supervises the finance unit, it’s reporting, and is the chief financial spokesperson for the organization. The CFS reports directly to the President and assists the VP, Operations Stewardship on all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding. The CFS is responsible for safeguarding the organization from the financial threats to include identifying, analyzing and managing risks that could cause losses to the company’s reputation, assets, net income, employees or its’ customers.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently exhibits the actions/behaviors which best demonstrate BFF’s Mission, Vision, Values

  • Drives financial planning with supportive analyses

  • Develops strong finance and debt strategies including annual projections, multi-year projections, ad hoc projections

  • Inspires achievement by leading teams in Accounting, Finance, IT, Tax, Risk, and Insurance

  • Designs and manages a proper Capital planning process

  • Produces accurate, timely & robust financial statements and forecasts with supportive analyses

  • Develops and Leads the budget process and evaluate cost driving trends

  • Leads all banking & CPA relationships/functions as well as insurance and risk functions

  • Stays current with new tax strategies and their impact on the organization

  • Advises ownership on acquisition opportunities

  • Drives Margin improvements

  • Engages in Strategic planning, goal setting, and KPI Metrics

  • Supports all business functions/departments

  • Develops/delivers shareholder reports & management reports

  • Oversees the administration of the Company’s 401k plan

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting Preferred

  • Experience serving in a Family Business

  • CPA accreditation with Public Accounting experience

  • Superior communications skills

  • Minimum of five years as a CFS

  • Travel as needed
