Position Summary:
Hands on IT professional supporting operational software systems and overall user environment. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will work closely with our third-party MSP.
Functional Duties:
Provides first-level end-user support, including troubleshooting basic issues with computer hardware, network/internet connectivity, email, and software applications as well as completing user requests for password and user account administration.
Manages and provides user support for operational software programs and system integrations.
Partners with our managed services provider to support the company’s entire network infrastructure.
Ensures all backup and disaster recovery systems are operational.
Supports printer networks (administrative and operational), DUO 2-factor authentication, VPN, Power Automate workflows, and others.
Manages and supports company communication infrastructure such as phone systems, ISP providers, and Office 365 products.
Performs all user maintenance including setting up new users and preparing their hardware and software needs.
Trains users in the operations of office 365 applications, phishing risks, and use of network tools.
Maintains and internal help desk ticketing system aimed at improving user experiences and determining areas needing improvement.
Creates, utilizes, and maintains documentation for tasks and procedures.
Oversees the company’s EDI functionality.
Supports of myriad of software programs including: Aeros ERP, Aeros Live, Easy Automation, Repete, Computerway Food Systems, Sage, Forms on Fire, GEOTAB, FeedLok, and others.
Establishes and maintains relationships with contractors and equipment suppliers.
Supports BFF’s Environment Management Systems (EMS) in an impactful manner to include monitoring/reducing operationally related negative effects on the environment as well as pollution prevention.
Required Education & Skills:
Associate’s degree in computer science or information systems related fields.
Must have an affinity for computers and a broad knowledge of various computer systems and how they work.
Must have a thirst for knowledge and an ability to quickly tackle new problems by using available research tools and methodical processes to successfully remedy issues with little supervision.
Exceptional computer and system administration skills on Microsoft based clients and servers.
Firm understanding of the configuration of basic networking components and peripherals.
Ability & willingness to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a calm demeanor and maintaining a “win/win” attitude.
Must be able to work a full-time work week onsite company locations which may include after-hours support at times.
Strong knowledge of and experience with programming (.NET environment / VB.NET, C# preferred).
Excel VBA and knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc.) are preferred.
Understanding of LAN/WAN/VLAN networking.
Previous end user support experience in a variety of software solutions. EDI experience is a plus.
Previous experience with procedure writing or other technical writing
Intricate knowledge/experience with workstation, server and network diagnostics, repair, and installation
Understanding of the fundamentals of DNS
Experience with phone installation / programming / maintenance
Support a VMWare virtualization environment including knowledge of Vcenter and Vsphere.
Support Windows Server 2019 / 2022 file and application servers in a hybrid on premises / cloud Active Directory environment.
Support Microsoft SQL Server 2014 / 2022 servers. Knowledge of querying in T-SQL is a plus.
Experience planning and maintaining server backup and disaster recovery procedures in a Veeam environment.
Physical Requirement/Work Environment
Must be able to adapt to office work environments which could include cold, heat. Individual will be exposed to high noise levels.
Data entry while seated for greater than one (1) hour
Must possess the ability to work in an agricultural environment, indoors, outdoors, office, warehouse, processing, and farm production areas each varying in temperature, odor and other environment specific atmospheres.
Must have & maintain a valid driver’s license as travel among the 3 main company locations is required.
Must be fully flexible with hours and schedule with the flexibility to work: days, nights, weekends, holidays, etc.
