Braswell Family Farms announces first pasture-raised farm

Nashville, NC - April 2, 2018

Braswell Family Farms, the second largest Eggland's Best franchisee in the United States, is "eggcited" to announce that we have built our first pasture-raised farm in partnership with a local producer. The farm, located in southern Virginia, is a state-of-the-art facility with one hen house and 21 acres of organic pastureland for our hens to roam.

“The creation of our pasture-raised farm allows us to supply a growing area of the egg market that is important to our customers,” says President Trey Braswell. Pasture-raised hens have 2 1/2 acres of space to roam per 1,000 hens and access to an indoor hen house, as stated by Humane Farm Animal Care.

Braswell Family Farms first pasture-raised egg was laid on March 20, 2018. These pasture-raised eggs can be found under the Born Free brand at Lowes Foods and other quality retailers soon.
