Bacon & Egg Baked Beans

A 4th of July cookout is not complete without baked beans. The TermiNatetor Kitchen improved upon the classic by adding our delicious eggs to the classic dish. God Bless America!

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 (16-oz) cans red beans
  • 3 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon aged balsamic vinegar
  • ½ pound bacon, cut into ½ pieces
  • 5 Braswell Family Farms eggs (large)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a Dutch oven or medium-sized baking dish, mix together the onion, beans, mustard, syrup, brown sugar, ketchup, and balsamic vinegar.
  3. Top with bacon pieces and bake, covered for 25 minutes.
  4. Remove beans from the oven and carefully crack eggs over the beans.
  5. Make for an addition 25 minutes, uncovered until the egg whites are completely set.
