Meet Nelson Cooper

Braswell Family Spotlight

Meet Nelson Cooper, he serves on our maintenance team and is also an assistant supervisor. Nelson has been with Braswell Family Farms for just one year but he has worked with the Braswell family through other poultry partners since the 1980s.

Nelson’s days differ depending on what problems or tasks arise. Typically, he can be found working on and maintaining equipment and monitoring team members that work in our hen houses.

When asked what he likes about Braswell Family Farms, Nelson began by saying he has wanted to work here for years. He was drawn to the work environment that is made possible by our family of team members. It also helps that his wife, Vanessa, is also a Braswell team member!

In his free time, you can find Nelson fishing or taking a spontaneous trip with his wife. Just a few weeks ago they packed up after church on Sunday and drove to Tennennesse and were back by Monday evening in time for work on Tuesday.

As for his Braswell Family Farms eggs, Nelson likes his well-done with cheese and onions and a piece of sausage on the side.
