Brian Harris

Meet Brian Harris, our feed mill supervisor at Braswell Family Farms. An average day for Brian includes receiving ingredients to make feed, creating feed formulas based off each flock’s needs, and receiving and sending feed orders. Brian also inputs the tonnage for each feed truck that is loaded and designates feed deliveries based off the distance from our mill to the farm.

Brian has been a Braswell Family Farms member for 21 years. He recalls seeing an advertisement in the newspaper for a position here and started as a feed truck driver. He served as a feed truck driver for three years until he began to load feed trucks and eventually made his way to Feed Mill Supervisor. He occasionally delivers feed if needed. His favorite thing about jumping in to help make deliveries is being on the road by himself.

Brain says that one of the best things about working at Braswell Family Farms are the people he works with. He also likes that it is a family-oriented atmosphere.

Brian enjoys fishing in local ponds or off the piers at some of North Carolina’s many beaches. He also enjoys grilling and says he can do a pretty good pork chop.

Brian likes his Braswell Family Farms eggs scrambled with cheese.
