This Thanksgiving Eve, we are so thankful for each of our family members here at Braswell Family Farms. One member in particular had a very special work anniversary yesterday – Ms. Nancy Joyner.

Nancy has been with us for 48 years, ever since her husband came looking for a job. Although there was no work for him at the mill, there was an open position in the office. Mr. Joyner came home and told his wife, she interviewed and was hired shortly after!

Nancy started out in the accounting department, then became the office manager at our egg farm and distribution site. She now is the receptionist at our corporate office – so chances are you’ll see her smiling face when you stop by.

With Thanksgiving a day away, Ms. Nancy wanted to share her favorite recipe using Braswell Family Farms eggs.

Ms. Nancy Joyner's Corn Pudding:
2 cups of canned or fresh corn
2 cups of milk
2 large Eggland's Best Eggs
1/4 cup of sugar
1/4 Tbsp of salt
Just short of 1/2 stick of butter melted
A dash of black pepper

Mix all ingredients into well-beaten eggs. Stir well. Pour into a buttered casserole dish. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until custard is set.
